       5.  And it
came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark,

      shall overtake them.

       31.  As
Moses the servant of the Lord commanded the children of Israel, as it is
written in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of whole stones, over
which no man hath lifted up any iron; and they offered thereon burnt
offerings unto the Lord, and sacrificed peace offerings.

       CHAPTER 11
     |

    |
       6.  And the
Lord said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them; for tomorrow about
this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel;  thou shalt hough their horses, and
      burn their chariots with fire.
     |

       6.  And the
Lord said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about
this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough
their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.
     |

       9.  And
Joshua did unto them as the Lord bade him; he houghed their horses, and
      burnt their chariots with fire.

Joshua did unto them as the Lord bade him: he houghed their horses, and

    |
       20.  For it
was of the Lord to destroy them utterly, because they hardened their
hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle;  that they might have no favor,
that they might destroy them in battle, as the Lord commanded
      Moses.
     |

       20.  For it
was of the Lord to harden their hearts, that they should come against
Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might
have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the Lord commanded
      Moses.
