RAB-BAN'AH
A title applied to Ammon in the land of Nephi (91-77 B. C.) by one of the Lamanite king's (Lamoni's) servant which is interpreted to mean: "powerful or great king." Al: xii:82-87.

The Bible R.; occurs only in 2 Ne. v;86-106 in a quotation from Isa.

RA'MAH, Hill
Jaredite appellation for the hill cumorah. Eth. vi:83.

RA'MATH
The Bible Ramath; occurs in 2 Ne. ix:l05-115 in a quotation from Isa. x.

RAM-E-UMP'TOM
Name given by the Zoramites 74 B. C., to an elevation in their synagogues from which they offered their selfish and repetitional prayers. It is interpreted to mean "the Holy Stand." This was in the land of Antionum. Al. xvi:95-98.

The Bible R. S., occurs thirteen times in the B. of M. in relation to Pharaoh and hosts and Lehi and company.

REM'A-LI'AH
The Bible R.; mentioned only in 2 Ne. ix:14-22, 43-46, in quotations from Isa. vii and viii.

RE'ZIN
The Bible R.; king of Damascus. It occurs only in 2 Ne. ix:14-22, 43-46, 68-72, in the reproduction of Isa. vii, viii, ix.

RIP'LAH-hill
Was east of the river Sidon, in the region or not far from the land of Manti; in the southerly portion of the Nephite possessions. It was the scene of a heavy battle (74 B. C.) between the Nephites under Moroni and Lehi, and the Lamanites under Zarahemnah. Al. xx:33-44.

RIP'LA-KISH
A polygamous king of the Jaredites; son of King Shez whom he succeeded. After he had reigned forty-two years his people rebelled, killed him and drove his descendants out of the land. After many years Morianton, a descendant of R., obtained the kingship by a long and serious war. Riplakish was the tenth descendant of Jared in the royal line. We would fix his period as within 1300-1600 B. C. Scene, probably Mexico. Eth. i:l-14; iv:35-59.

RIP'LI-AN'CUM, Waters of
Near here the armies of Shiz and Coriantumr grappled for supremacy in the last generation of the Jaredites. The defeated armies of Shiz fled southward and took a position at Ogath, while the armies of Coriantumr pitched by the hill Ramah (Cumorah). Eth. vi:72-83.
